Many people around the world have no access to Bibles and they will travel miles and miles just to hear a few words from it. Those of us who have Bibles have a great privilege. We can read God's word any time and should make the daily habit of spending time reading the Bible and thinking about the Bible. And we can find out more and more about Who God is every time we read the Bible. God wants us to know Him intimately, and every time we read the Bible, we get to know Him better and better. What could be more important than that?
The Bible is God's Word to His people. It's really a book of books. There are sixty-six books in all, and they were written by many authors over a period of about 1500 years! But all of the authors were inspired by God as they wrote. He's the real author.
