Frequently Asked Questions - GOD
The best answer to this is that it's a Mystery! There are some things we can't understand very well. But we know that they are true nonetheless. Many things that are true can be difficult for us to understand. Just think about the idea that God is infinite, or the idea that He created the whole universe out of nothing! Both are true, but to really understand them is a tall order! The doctrine of the Trinity is just like that.
A good way to imagine how the Trinity works is to consider how water can exist in 3 forms. Water can be a liquid, water can be a solid (ice)and water can be a gas (steam or vapor), but all three forms are still water.
God is "omnipresent." That means that He really can be everywhere at once. He's not like us, who can only be in one place at a time. He can be everywhere. So wherever we are, God is there, too. We never have to wonder if God is with us. He is always with us!
Yes, absolutely. God is "omniscient", which means that He knows everything in the whole universe. So God sees everything we do, both good and bad.
God did forgive everybody, but He doesn't force us to accept His forgiveness. It's a free gift -- but the recipient of a gift still has to accept that gift. We are only forgiven if we accept God's forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
